Animeblogging for me
Sometimes I wonder what I would be doing now when I don’t have an animeblog. Perhaps I would be playing a game of Dota, or spamming some lame posts in forums. Thinking back, its been a few months since.

A little history about this blog. The Ephemeral §oL was born on the 14th of July, earlier this year. Its started off with me on a bus, thinking about some current issues. By the time the bus reached the terminal, I’ve thought of a complete post on what I could write if I had a blog. And so, it came to be. This wasn’t supposed to be an animeblog at first, but rather, a blog like all others easily found on blogger and livejournal. You can still read some of my crappier posts I imported over like on Rockson, or Xiaxue. Those were the days. Somehow, it switched to anime blogging full time.
On 21st October, I official moved to Animeblogger.net, where I felt my blog could fit in nicer. It offered more freedom as well as a larger readership. Initially I wanted to abandon the idea(after waiting 2 months to get the domain), due to me facing the onslaught of technical nightmares, of width, theme, bugs, plugins, ftp, and other nitty gritty annoyances. Of course, I must thank Zenical-sensei(LOL) for helping me out with AB. If not for her, you’ll still be at ephemeralsol.wordpress.com.
I can still remember the days when I just started out, where I was so excited, seeing my blog view jumped, and at my first comment ever(honors goes to the almighty tj_han). I started by doing reviews episode by episode, kinda like at THAT animeblog and Zenime. I quicky abandoned that though, partly because I don’t have that much free time nor writers to catch every episode and review it. More importantly, I realised, through experience, that most people hate spoilers and wouldn’t want to read the review before watching it, and those who finished that episode would most likely not read a review on that. And so, I switched to posting random stuff.
Dedicating my blog to posting random thoughts, rants and ideas are not as easy as it seems. There are times when I had a total writer’s block, and my blog was left to rot for a whole week. Sometimes, I would post silly pointless articles simply as fillers ala Naruto. At other times, ideas seems to flow smoothly, like spotting that itasha at expo, or my thoughts on the Nanoha saga. I have thoughts of throwing in some random episode reviews just to make it a bit livelier, since episode reviews are easier on my creative juices, but decided against it, seeing as it’ll be another half-assed attempt.
Animeblogging has been a fun and enjoyable experience for me. I’ve known some interesting people through animeblogging, such as Zenical, V, Aibu, Tiny Red Man, to name a few. You’ve all helped me out in one way or another, either through your technical expertise, or simply just by being there for me to rant on. And huge thanks to Maestro too, for hosting me on AB.
By now you’re probably thinking this blog is gonna get shut down or something. No, its not. I’m barely getting started. I plan to continue on this path for as long as my laptop can support me(its making weird noises now X_X). I’ll keep posting random stuff and occasionally some music/series reviews, so stay tuned.
Lastly, to all those who had the patience to read through my stupidly incomprehensible and anime-unrelated post, a big thanks. I really hope you guys can read more interesting stuff over here next time you drop by.

IM TOUCHED! IM MENTIONED INSIDE! :O LOL LOL LOL. you forgot to mention that u went around saying that im a geekgirl hurhur >.>
Zenical is still sore about the geekgirl, eh ^^? §oL mate, I am on the same wagon as you and in a sense I understand what you’re saying. Let us march foward to a brighter and random future XD.
i’m honoured to have a fren like u.. anyway, i believe u can blog more…*inserts the phrase said by Gin-ne from Gurren Lagann*
It’s sort of similar for me, except I was inspired from reading anime blogs.
Keep it up, man. I used to have a blog just like yours before Aibu, unfortunately I abandoned it due to astounding levels of apathy. Hope you don’t suffer the same fate.
Should you be calling this an animeblog?
Go Sol-sama!
